The float at the head of Princess Louisa Inlet. Just off the end of this float is a

memorial to "Mac" MacDonald, who first saw the inlet in 1919.

He was a prospector who subsequently struck it rich in Nevada, and in 1927 he purchased the surrounding land.

Mac MacDonald formed a trust that will keep the inlet undeveloped in perpetuity.

Princess Louisa Inlet is accessable only by boat or float plane.
