The dinghy leaks! I couldn't believe it! Remembering the sinking-dinghy aboard "Silver Heels", I had vowed it wouldn't happen. The leak came

from a pin fitting on the centerboard trunk, visible behind my left cheek. I've plugged and

sealed the area. Rather than a pin, a leather strap holds the centerboard down and in position. Now "Sam's" dry as a bone.

The boarding ladder, blue hullside, toerail, genoa track and calm Echo Bay water.

The "blue boat", as were called around here, moored to the wide concrete docks at Port Sidney Harbor.

Each piling has a hanger and flower pot, and lamp posts line the

dock centerline. Some people set up umbrellas, small tables and folding chairs on the dock near their

boats and have morning coffee.
