Sunset looking out the inlet toward Macdonald Island and Malibu Rapids.

Except for this small opening, the inlet is surrounded by towering granite walls.

A few times float planes ducked under these fog layers to bring sightseers in for a short stay.

Otherwise, access is only by boat. We cooked great meals and slept soundly here. Maybe it was the quiet of the calm

inlet waters only broken by the noise of the waterfalls.

Up from this shoreline on the right is a site dedicated to James F. "Mac" Macdonald, who lived here near

Chatterbox Falls in the summers from 1927 until 1972 . He donated his Princess Louisa Inlet property which, he stated,

was never to be owned by just one individual and never to be commercially exploited. With trustees from the USA and Canada

it is now managed by the Princess Louisa International Society.
