After a paint adhesion problem with the first coating, the hull sides have been painted blue for the second time.

Paul, the yard foreman, wants a perfect result. He was just about to mask off the cove stripe and the waterline for painting

when I took this picture in Penmar Marine's paint bay. However, last night someone stole the

paint that had been purchased for the job. That set us back again,

but I knew someday this was going to be one pretty boat.

"Love of Liberty", Jasper and Ellen. The boat has just been moved out from the paint shed and will now get a

coat of light blue bottom paint. "Baby blue" as Paul, the yard foreman says; he prefers the bottom be painted black.

I don't know! I saw another boat painted dark blue on the topsides and light blue on the bottom, and

with the white waterline it looked good. We'll see if anyone laughs on launch day.
