This is the water just south of the Cape Cod Canal or Buzzards Bay. We're headed for Padanaram Harbor which is
just over the horizon. The seas were two to three feet, and a few slipped over "Silver Heel's" bow
as this shows. The anchor line strewn on the port side deck is supposed to be 'drying' so it can be stowed below.
I put up the foresail for steadying, and the boat moved nicely at 8.0 k. This foresail is easy to set as all the working lines are
within the confines of the deck's rail and "Silver Heels'" decks are wide for a good footing.

We left Padanaram Harbor heading into a heavy chop. The boat slowed to 3 knots as she punched
into short, steep waves. After two hours of this, Ellen and I altered course for the protection of Cuttyhunk Harbor.
After resting for a day, we took the dinghy ashore and thought we'd get something to eat at a deli or restaurant.
This is the market at Cuttyhunk open from 9:30 to 12:30 and 3:00 to 5:00, ... most days.
We found out that this store, about a 1/2 mile hike from the dinghy dock, was the only source for food in the town.
It advertised groceries, boat fittings, gifts and beach supplies. We got there at 1:10, they were closed.
We had something to eat back at the boat.

Homes and summer cottages cover the hill near Cuttyhunk Harbor. There's a school, post office and "police services"
for those who live here year round. The 'Waterway Guide' said there was also a movie theatre,
but we never found it.
