Victoria Harbor at the foot of Fort Street, just a few feet from where we are moored. Five sea otters live under the bridge, and

the harbor seal regularly cruises here. Cormorants, egrets, crows and seagulls are as

common as the kids smoking dope on the walkways at night. This picture, taken on a warm

fall day, makes the harbor look warm and habitable. That was last fall. It is winter now so daytime temperatures are usually in

the 40's and nighttime freezes are common. The docks are iced tonight.

This is our new boat, "Love of Liberty", lauched in Lake Superior for a

short while during her survey. Note the slings still holding her, note the snow on the deck, and

please note that I've again found my way into another freezing cold part of the world.

From here the boat will be placed on a truck and moved to Anacortes, WA.
