"Love of Liberty" lifted out of Lake Superior's fresh waters for the last time. From here she'll be prepped and placed on a
special truck designed for boat transport. Once moved to Anacortes, Washington she'll go back in the water ... salt water this time.

"Love of Liberty" arrives - by truck - in Anacortes, Washington after a haul from Lake Superior, Wisconsin.
Del Ostrem, the MarineExpress driver of this rig, was a great person. He alone drove 30,000 pounds of
boat from Wisconsin to Washington . 64 years old, he had a ranch in Minnesota,
had two daughters living at home, had a dislike for Californians and wanted dearly to
retire. He drove thru freezing, windy weather in Idaho, was turned south by a storm at
Snoqualamie Pass, then drove to Portland and still made the trip in four days.

Forget that name and hailing port on the transom. It's going to be "Love of Liberty" hailing from Annapolis, Maryland.
Three hours after arrival, that road grime was scrubbed off and the 3 inches of ice in the cockpit floor had almost melted.
The hull topsides (the white part) will be painted dark blue and the waterline will be painted white before commissioning.
