On the northwest coast of Vancouver Island is Tofino, a small harbor town.

Across the island, it's a half day drive from Sidney

Cathedral Forest is unlogged, uncut, virgin forest. This is a tiny protected forest area on the island.

Most of the forested land on Vancouver Island, having been clear cut, is second or third growth.

This, Cathedral Forest, is a pleasure to see.

Our small beach-front rental cabin at Tofino. Four cabins were set in a circle with a raised hot tub in the center.

Each kitchenette cabin had a deck-walkway to the hot tub.
