It's nearly Christmas, and this is our truck "decorated for the holidays." We like the holidays and have

always decorated our home. Since the boat - our home - was sold and since all we had was now

in this truck, Ellen thought we should send a Christmas card with

this photo saying, "MERRY CHRISTMAS, From Our House to Yours."

Outside temperature was 7 degrees! Not fit for man or beast.

We have yet to see some "amber waves of grain" or "Purple mountain's majesty" but

those distant mountains make us think we're getting closer to familiar terrain. Still I think it would feel

good to be back at Worton Creek aboard the boat.

Now this, the Bonneville Salt Flats and some big mountains, is looking better.

Nevada and The Sierra are next. Somewhere past these mountains is the Pacific Ocean, our next boat

and our next cruising grounds.
