SILVER HEELS at the new float at Brooklin Boat Yard. We stayed at a mooring primarily but were allowed

access to the float to load gear. Over 2/3 of the boats in this harbor are made of wood and are of classic designs!

 

The shack at the end of the dock above the float at BBY. Someone thought to put a flower box beneath the window.

The pier and ramps all rest on granite blocks stacked to a level above the high water mark. Granite quarries

are common in Maine. This whole thing would fall like a house of cards in a good California earthquake.

Maine fog. This looks like San Francisco Bay fog. We've had about three days of this, and

we're told it can linger for over a week.
