Last fall we added a fabric cockpit enclosure with clear vinyl windows.
The steering wheel has been temporarily removed and the cockpit table has been setup.
On a cold winter day it's a truly pleasant place to think, read or just have coffee.

Dockside, the cockpit is now a sunroom that can be used on all but the coldest of winter days.
The wind no longer blows in and down the hatch louvers. Instead, the heat
coming up the companionway now flows into the cockpit area and warms it.
Underway, cruising in the summer, this enclosure will be folded and stowed below under a bunk.

Powering to Montague Harbor in April with the winter cockpit enclosure still in place.
Somewhat wimpy, I'll admit, it does keep the rain and wind out and still acts
like a warm sunroom in the low winter temperatures.
